Out For A Hot Drink

A bit more clarity on the events that led Zoé moving out

  1. Sounds like someone got kicked out… I don’t blame Jordi if he kicked her out, to be honest. I’d do the same thing. It’s still primarily Gareth’s fault that all of this happened, but the fact that Zoé sort of acted as an enabler in this situation and then didn’t really try very hard to follow up or make sure Gareth was okay, even when she noticed him acting weird and was really the only person in the office who could have pointed this out, means that Jordi’s anger would be prettttty rational, especially since Gareth is his brother, and is now in the recovery phase, so Jordi probably doesn’t feel like he can point any blame towards Gareth. Honestly, with the fact that it sounds like Gareth got pretty close to death there, I wonder how this is going to change the dynamics between the rest of them and Gareth and Zoé. I imagine there’s going to be some pretty serious conversations with Gareth when he’s in a better headspace, and I can’t imagine Jordi is the only one mad at Zoé… Ultimately, I guess I’d suppose that maybe Gareth is really the one who needs to both forgive Zoé but also own up to his own shortcomings…
I only just caught up with this comic today after hearing about it from a friend. Really great stuff! I’m really invested in all of the characters.

    • Well Anon… yeah. No yeah, all your points are right. You got pretty much everything right hahahah, yeah. Great analysis, nothing much to add!

And I’m soooooo glad you decided to take your friends recommendation and read the comic! (and the whole thing!) Hope you stick around!

  2. Oof, I can relate to you apartment, Zoe, and to how that single window facing a wall feels like. Had a similar situation for my first year of college. Closed the year with chronic depression and half my subjects failed..
